As I put the learnings that I got from the HOPE library seminar that I attended last September 9-11 at San Isidro Mission Church, I decided to buy some small story books for my students, these are their rewards for having a complete attendance and this is also my simple way of encouraging them to read books. I always encourage them to read. My dream for them is to become a good reader - students who can read and comprehend, because honestly most of the students in public school here in the Philippines can't read well. There are many factors why they have poor reading skills and one of those is poverty and also lack of reading resources at home and in school.
These photos were taken last October 9, 2024 1:00PM (PH Time) and they don't have textbooks during this time so didn't hesitate to use my own pocket just to give them some books to read.
